Using the Tarot as a tool for esoteric internalization and learningTarot Blog! on Tuesday March 16th '10, 3:16 amEsoteric Internalization. Now there’s a mouthful lol. Simply put anything that develops our wisdom and understanding is a form of esoteric internalization. Whether that be the words of an old friend or the symbols and archetypes of the Tarot. Many people that have taken the time to investigate the Tarot as a tool for learning have felt a deep and changing pivot in their spiritual learning. The Tarot has many profound and psychological connections to the archetypes that we share as a human race. The symbolism speaks in colors and symbols to our subconscious minds and opens the opportunity for us to learn at a much deeper level. This may sound like the same old ‘spiritual talk” but unlike the written word however the religion or philosophy may dictate the Tarot speaks in images and symbols which have less bias and pre-conception of meaning. Words by themselves paint pictures in our minds, and before they form completely it goes through our prejudice and perception filter. With the Tarot it works the other way around. We start with the imagery. To give you an example let’s take the Tarot card the Emperor numbered 4 amongst the Trumps. The Emperor is related to Aires which is cardinal fire in the zodiac and which is also ruled by Mars. Just in symbolism alone we see bravery, commitment to the ruler ship of our lives, the strength to stand our ground in the battle we rage against our inhibitions, the importance of fortifying a fortress to protect our family and loved ones, the importance of ruling the kingdom of our consciousness. So many things are represented by this one card. So much that we can take can meditate on. Using the Tarot as a way to help us perceive the best possible path to success is very little about the cards themselves and a lot more about internalizing their meaning into our daily lives. 0 Comments - Add Comment The Magician, tools for life.Tarot Blog! on Sunday March 14th '10, 3:46 pm
It is the very first card that shows any organization and in all intents the Magician is just that. A picture of an extremely organized order of potential events. A unified singular force. The number 1 is associated with this card for a number of very good reasons. No matter what we are trying to accomplish it is our Will, our drive to progress, that makes it all possible. We have to have the tools to express this. How can this work for us in a practical way? I have copy of the Magus hanging in my office for a very specific reason. The Magus realizes that this action in his responsibility. That having the tools in order to act with purpose is our individual accountability. To facilitate the actions we need to take it may mean going to college, buying computers, paying for a place to live, eating the right food and drinking enough water, living in the right area. Gauging your desired result and building a portfolio of tools that allows you to express your art and perfect your mind is the number one goal of the actions we take to have a fulfilling existence.
